project managers

Mollie Chalk, Project Manager, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Florida State University.  She was on the Deans List every semester throughout her college career and was honored with membership in the Honor Society Phi Eta Sigma.  Prior to her employment at Pineapple House, Mollie managed an antique store that specialized in custom, high-end vintage kitchens. She was able to employ her broad scope of computer skills (CAD, VIZ, and KCDw) to create unique layouts and designs for the kitchens.  Additionally, she served as a store buyer for reproductions and fine antiques.  Mollie has managed Pineapple House design and construction projects in Georgia, Idaho, North Carolina and the Turks and Caicos.  She is currently working on two renovation projects for residences in Buckhead, as well as a complete overhaul and build out of the interiors of a condo on New Smyrna Beach in Florida.  Mollie was profiled by Design Milk's Jamie Derringer, and Mollie's responses and insights regarding color trends and dark color pallets were featured on the popular AOL site, Shelter Pop (  http://www.shelterpop.com/2009/07/28/trend-watch-gray-walls/ .)

Kari Mears, Project Manager, graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design.  She started with Pineapple House as a college intern in 2004.  She has managed new construction projects, renovations and new decor for homes throughout Georgia, Florida and in Canada.  Her most recent full construction project installed in 2009 in prestigious Hawks Ridge in Ball Ground, GA.  Prior to that in Canada, she seamlessly managed all details for a new home located on a remote island located north of Toronto.  This was a notable accomplishment, since the 4,500 square foot home was full construction and the manufacturing and transporting of goods across the border required compliance with complex international regulations and NAFTA requirements.  Kari handled the integration of contemporary fixtures and furnishings into the transitional interiors of a builder's new home in Roswell, GA, and she worked commercially with the design of a real estate office in Griffin, GA.  Kari recently completed the management of multiple projects, including a new addition on West Conway, renovations in a residence on West Paces Ferry and the renovation of a high-rise condominium in Miami.   She is currently focusing on projects locally, as well as a construction project in Palm Desert, California and an interior update in Orlando, Florida.  Kari's insights on accessorizing are featured in the February 2010 issue of Your Home and Lifestyle.
